I Need Your Help...please
I want a video from you, and all you have to do is read a script on camera. It's very simple. The script is below.
I am planning to make a "we are strong" video to post on the Hillgrove website AND...I want to also submit it to local media, who are looking for locally-produced content. But, I need your help!
Here's how to do it:
Place yourself in front of a non-distracting background (a blank wall, perhaps) and center yourself in the shot as a close up; from just below the shoulders up. Lighting and audio has to be PERFECT.
Read each line on camera (with your eyes looking directly at the lens and not at the paper) and read slowly and seriously. I want each line to have big impact. Read like it is the most important information you've ever presented.
If you need to look down at the paper to memorize each line before you say it that's fine, but just don't allow the camera to show the paper you are holding. You need to present as if you have each line memorized.
Send your finished video to me by Wednesday afternoon. I'll need to edit and then submit it.
Please check the blog in a day or two for additional lessons for the week.
Thanks!!
We are Hillgrove
((please
read slowly))
We are living through a time that future generations will read about in textbooks.
We are
apart together.
And ...we will
get through this.
Because we
are a community of caring people.
We are
strong and resilient.
We are
tough and flexible.
We face
challenges with team spirit.
We are
learning to be creative with our time, with our schoolwork, with our
expectations.
And these
are lessons we will take into adulthood.
We are
patient.
We are
caring and understanding of those who struggle.
We know
that those moments of sadness and frustration will pass in favor of brighter
days.
During this
time, we are learning about this virus, about each other, and mostly…about
ourselves.
We are hopeful
and positive.
We are
optimistic about the future and look forward to what our future holds.
We are
giving, and smart, and resourceful and have the tools to handle anything that
comes our way.
We are part
of a community of loving people.
We embrace
each other… 6 feet apart… to comfort ourselves and each other.
We lean on
each other in tough times. We feel love
and we spread love.
We know
that there is hope on the other side of fear and anxiety.
We will get
through this and emerge better than before.
We are apart together. We are Hawks . We are Hillgrove.
Thanks! You guys rock!
Mrs. Watson
(don't say that last part on camera.)
